Instructions
Turn gas flame to medium high and arrange peppers around the flame.
Use tongs to turn peppers once they begin to become black (char) and blistered. Be careful not to let the peppers turn ashy or white.
Remove peppers from flame and place on a paper towel. Once cooled, use gloves and rub off the skins.
If stuffing peppers, remove seeds and leave stems. If using peppers in a recipe, remove seeds and stems.
If using an oven, preheat broiler and cook for about 5 minutes, turning often, until blackened and blistered.
Air Fryer (all brands and varieties)
Lightly spray peppers with oil and place peppers in air fryer basket.
Use the highest setting on your air fryer and set time to 6 minutes.
Turn peppers and set time to 6 minutes again.
Keep turning and cooking at highest temperature until the peppers are charred on all sides.
