ELEVEN Reasons to Buy Instant Pot! you may be wondering why. Keep reading and I bet you will be convinced. This post is sponsored by Instant Brands.
After using a pressure cooker for several years, I started looking around for a new pressure cooker with a stainless steel cooking pot. Back in In 2011 I discovered and bought the Instant Pot LUX. It was more than a pressure cooker. It can slow cook, make rice, steam, saute and now it can make yogurt.
In fact, I was so excited with my Instant Pot, I contacted the owner of Instant Pot and started selling Instant Pots through my ebay store. A lot has changed since then and the Instant Pot keeps getting better.
I’m going to give you ELEVEN Reasons to Buy Instant Pot! The Instant Pot DUO Plus is the one I use most often.

People have told me me that if all they made was yogurt in the Instant Pot DUO Plus, they would be happy. But, there is so much more.

It’s easy to make baby food too. Cook up some healthy baby cereals and steamed veggies and then package them up in silicone baby food/egg bite trays. 6. College Students
Okay, you’ve raised your kids and it is time to send them off to college. Send them off with an Instant Pot Mini 3 Quart.
When I was in college I had a hot pot, I think it was called. Do you remember those? It was a pot to boil water. We used that pot for everything. Making mac and cheese, ramen noodles, soup and anything we could think of to “cook” in that little pot.
The kids can use the Instant Pot Mini. to make a real Instant Pot Macaroni and Cheese. Just look how creamy and yummy this looks.
They can grab some chicken and add a tub of salsa and enjoy fresh Salsa Chicken or a BBQ Chicken Sandwich. There are less than five ingredients in these.
The best gift you can provide to your children when they go off to school is an Instant Pot Mini 3 Quart. You’ll feel better knowing that they can cook for themselves and eating, relatively well.
7. Eating Your Way
I lost a lost of weight on Weight Watchers many years ago. Yeah, I know…. Trust me, I know the struggles.
My Spaghetti Squash and Meat Sauce recipe was a life saver. It is so easy to make and so good. It’s now even easier than back then as you can cook the squash in the Instant Pot, along with the sauce.
Keto and low carb diets are very popular for losing weight and staying healthy.
Check out my Low Carb Manhattan Clam Chowder recipe and Instant Pot Broccoli Cheddar Soup. I lost weight following low carb and yeah, I need to get back to it.
With recipes like my Instant Pot Low Carb Brussels Sprouts Alfredo, you will have plenty to eat.
If you follow a paleo diet, meat like Pot Roast and pork shoulder are done in less than an hour.
The Instant Pot comes in handy, no matter which type of food plan you follow!
Vegan and vegetarians, cooking beans has never been easier. My Pressure Cooker Vegetarian Frijoles Refried Beans are ready in less than an hour and no soaking necessary. How about Instant Pot Vegan Corn Chowder Soup? It’s sooo good.
8. Empty Nester
Are you now an empty nester as the kid are grown and moved away?
Think about trying some recipes you have been wanting to make, but you knew the kids would not eat. I know how that goes.
Ed is a picky eater and because he won’t touch hot tuna, I turned my Instant Pot Tuna Noodle Casserole into a Instant Pot Dijon Shrimp Linguine recipe and he loves it.
Since this is the time of your life to go out and smell the roses, you might want to still cook the same amount of food as you used to cook, but, use a FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System and freeze half the recipe for another time.
This leaves you more time to go out and smell the roses. 🙂
This is your time, have fun! I think you the Instant Pot is perfect for empty nesters.
9. Home Gourmet Chef
Do you love cooking and fancy yourself a home gourmet chef? Do like to challenge yourself. Perhaps you see a vegetable at the farmer’s market that looks particularly delicious today or there is a spice you have been wanting to try and in your head, you start dreaming up a new recipe.
This is me exactly. I’ve never been a huge fan of Instant Pot Salisbury Steak w/Onion Mushroom Gravy, but I was determined to make it in the Instant Pot and make it the best ever.
We know that lean beef like a top round is best cooked slowly in the oven. Well, I took that as a challenge and look what I did. The most delicious Instant Pot Rare Roast Beef. This was cooked in my Instant Pot.
So, I get the love of cooking and I’m telling you, you need an Instant Pot. The most fun for me is coming up with innovative and creative recipes, which are any level of cook can make.
10. DIY Crafters
If you are a DIY type of person, the Instant Pot is for you.
Yes, really, Instant Pot does more than just cook a meal.
You can make scented body bars and bath melts for holiday gifts.

If you love crafts and making your own gifts, the Instant Pot has you covered.
I could stand here all day and give you more suggestions, but I bet you fit into at least one of these categories I mentioned.
So by now you can see that the Instant Pot DUO Plus IS FOR YOU!
But wait, there is one more reason and it’s my favorite.
11. I Wrote a Cookbook
Sorry, I ran out of fingers. 🙂
The best reason to buy an Instant Pot is because I wrote a cookbook called This Old Gal’s Pressure Cooker Cookbook. My recipes are fantastic and I teach you how to cook, step by step.
I often see questions asking for beginner recipes. I’m never sure how to answer that because any recipe can be a beginner recipe if the directions are simple and clear.
The recipes in my cookbook are restaurant quality and not what one thinks of as beginner recipes. However, someone brand new to the kitchen or new to the Instant Pot, will be able to produce restaurant quality meals like a rock star on the very first try.
So seasoned chefs and beginning cooks will both enjoy my cookbook.

Hi Maggie. I like the one I show on this page. It is the fourth graphic on the first row. https://thisoldgal.com/favorite-pressure-cooker-accessories/ I like it because it has two lids and one has the steam vents. Jill
